Hi there!
LinkedIn keeps making advertising easier to launch. But easier to launch doesn’t automatically mean easier to make profitable.
This month, we’re looking at the LinkedIn Ads changes that are actually worth paying attention to, from AI creative tools and better lead signals to what really helps campaigns perform.
Your ads don’t need more budget. They need a better system.
A strong LinkedIn campaign starts before Campaign Manager opens.
Success comes down to getting the fundamentals right: targeting, creative, conversion tracking, testing, and optimisation. If one piece is weak, spending more simply helps you learn the lesson faster.
If you’re running only a few creatives, focusing mainly on click-through rate (CTR), or unsure which campaigns are actually driving pipeline, it may be time to revisit your setup.
AI can make more ads. Strategy still decides what works.
LinkedIn’s newest creative toolkit includes Draft with AI, Brand Kit, AI Ad Variants, Ads Personalization and Flexible Ad Creation.
The interesting part isn’t “AI writes ads now.” It’s what this enables: more testing.
According to LinkedIn, advertisers running five or more ad variants see 20%+ higher CTR than advertisers running just one.
Creative volume helps – but only when you’re testing meaningful differences in angle, offer and message.
Try this on your next campaign:
What changed in August?
Better down-funnel signals. LinkedIn’s August 2026 API now supports Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) and Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) conversion types, helping eligible integrations identify higher-quality leads and improve campaign optimisation.
Cleaner tracking. Account-level dynamic UTM parameters can now apply across creatives in all campaigns, making consistent tracking easier.
And Matched Audiences API access is now open for application to qualified developers another step toward more automated audience workflows.
