What challenges do emerging companies face on LinkedIn?

Companies think that they need a large marketing department to grow their following on Linkedin. They don’t. Any company, no matter the size, can build a well-known brand voice on Linkedin through their employees. Check out companies like Dreamdata, Commsor or Lavender on Linkedin, as they grow through the content of their employees that is quite freely created.

Also, businesses are afraid to let their employees freely post on Linkedin conscious of them not being “on brand”. Building easily adoptable LinkedIn playbooks internally will help your employees feel empowered to build their personal brand while also promoting the company they work for and love.

Networking TIPS for potential clients, partners, and industry influencers on LinkedIn.

Target Icon

Define your ICP and connect with them

Content Icon

Post content that is inspired by your ICPs and give credits to them.

Influencer Icon

Understand which influencers your ICPs follow and react to their content, comment on it.

Podcast Icon

Invite your ICP’s to meet or attend your podcasts.

Those people want to build their brand too, so try to give something they appreciate in exchange of a conversation. They’re all humans, too – the more down-to-earth you are, the easier it will be to reach them!

What key strategies have you found most effective to boost companies’ LinkedIn sales?

I believe there has to be a combination of strategies for a startup to boost its sales:

  1. Start with profile optimizations, both company and personal ones.
  2. Create and share valuable content. This shows the professionalism and experience of the company and its employees to the potential customer. It could be empowering strategic collaborations.
  3. Be proactive. Your job is to show yourself as much as possible; therefore, interacting with potential customer is crucial. It can be just checking the profile, engaging with their content, sending a personalized message.
  4. Use Sales Navigator for advanced search and more insights of the potential buyer. This tool can be very useful to find and engage with the right people.

I think these 4 steps are the main ones, and by doing them consistently, you can expect great sales results!

" No one answers and reads the generic messages that every sales manager sends. Be creative, try some new approaches, and test them out. "
