LinkedIn glow-up kit visual

We’ve all seen the AI-generated LinkedIn dolls. Sure, it was cool for like a week or two, but we’ve all had enough.

Some brave souls still managed to flip the trend and make it work. This post is a perfect example of how to bring a tired trend back from the dead.

💡 Tip: if you can't completely flip the trend into something new and unexpected after a few weeks of the trend "start", leave it.

However, doesn't matter how creative you get, leave those AI doll packages gathering dust in your personal closet.

But some social media trends are still LinkedIn gold, if you know how to twist them.

And no, you don’t need to repost the viral video or do a TikTok voiceover.
You just need a relatable angle, a bit of story, and if you’re feeling fancy, a visual.

Here's a few content trends that you can transform into LinkedIn posts:

He or she does not know it yet trend

He/She Doesn’t Know It Yet...

Perfect for spotlighting unexpected progress.

Share a “before” photo or moment and add:

“She doesn’t know it yet… but in 9 months she’ll land her first client through LinkedIn.”

Want bonus points? Add a funny twist or real emotions. It’s relatable. It works.

Not trends yet, but we feel it coming... 👀

🥣 Cold Beetroot Soup Festival in Vilnius

Is it trending? A bit already.

Use this as a chance to:

  • Show a fun side of your personality or workflow;
  • Share an unusual tradition;
  • Or start a light, summery convo in your feed.

Remember: a little personality goes a long way in the sea of B2B self-promotion.

📺 New "Black Mirror" Season

New season, new what-is-happening-to-the-world energy.

If you ever wanted an excuse to talk about:

  • AI;
  • Digital identity;
  • Tech burnout;
  • Future of work and technology.

You don’t have to get very philosophical. Just... relevant + weird enough to make people stop.

🔪 New "YOU" Season

He’s back. Again. Still creepy. Still weirdly relevant to personal branding?

This season, use Joe’s obsession with perception to reflect on your own:

  • Are you presenting the real you online?
  • Are you curating, performing, hiding?
  • Or maybe… just maybe… thriving?

Because sometimes pop culture is the post.

LinkedIn reach visual

You're not alone. We're all biting our nails.

Since the algorithm shift, reach has tanked for almost everyone.
But here’s one move you can make today to boost visibility: Comment on a bigger creator’s post. Not with “Great point!”, but something like:

This is spot on, [name]. I’ll add that [additional idea] or [my opinion on this topic].

It showcases your expertise in front of their broad audience without the need to post yourself.

The algorithm might help you get seen, but if your goal is to get noticed by recruiters, what you say and how you present yourself matters even more.

We asked two industry recruiters what hurts your chances on LinkedIn and what actually makes you stand out.

Talent Acquisition Specialist @ Inulti

“LinkedIn isn’t your TED Talk stage. Invite conversation, not just applause.”
“If you ghost once, we remember twice. Communication matters more than you think.”

Better moves:

  • Share insights that spark dialogue, not just speeches.
  • If you’re stepping back from a process, say so respectfully. It makes a difference.

Freelance recruiter | CEO | Founder @ MAD Recruitment

“If your CV says one thing and LinkedIn says another, that’s a problem, not a personal brand.”
“Being #OpenToWork but ignoring messages sends one message: confusion.”

Better moves:

  • Align your CV and profile, consistency builds trust.
  • Keep your status up to date. If you're not open, remove the badge.

And that's not all.

There’s more you might be doing (or not doing) that’s hurting your chances.

Read the full blog post and make sure your profile isn’t silently turning recruiters away.
